On Marken, the visitor rarely enters the official front door, the practical entrance for everyday is the typical lumberhouse where the washing machine and dryer are also connected. The house is built of wood, like all authentic houses on Marken.
The light living room with six windows is a sea of space with a panoramic view of the water. The open kitchen with granito countertop has a reduced ceramic hob, freezer and fridge, dishwasher, hot air oven combined with microwave and a wide range of additional appliances you can expect in the modern kitchen.
The convenient workplace is located between the kitchen and the bathroom. In the bathroom a second toilet, double sinks on an original cherry wood sheet and a spacious walk-in shower. In the bathroom is also the central heating boiler which guarantees a comfortable hot water supply. All this is viewed by a heated mirror of two by one meter.
In the hall the official front door, the staircase to the first floor, the toilet, a spacious closet and access to a cool basement with storage space.
On the first floor there are three spacious bedrooms, in which two rooms are a double bed. In addition, there is still a small space for storage of, for example, administration. Bedroom I is the master bed room with plenty of space and light. Bedroom II gives access to the open attic and bedroom III is furnished as a working space.
The house is well maintained and the ground floor is fully double glazed. Wall and roof insulation has also been applied. Gas heating takes place through sunken ground floor convectors and radiators on the first floor.
The house is fully furnished and further furnished with all the amenities and necessities for a long and comfortable stay. In front of the house is a paved terrace overlooking the Markermeer. Further there are additional terraces so there is always sun or shade. A separate stone barn provides space for garden tools and bicycles. There is a private space for parking two cars beside the site on which the property is located.
