Beautiful, well-maintained and spacious three-room apartment (previously four rooms), with a parking space in the building’s parking garage and additional storage. The apartment is situated on the second and third floor of the spacious “Batavia” building (1999), in the middle of the popular Oostelijk Havengebied (Eastern Docklands) – just outside the city centre. Accessibility is also ideal - you are on the A10 ring road via the Piet Hein tunnel in a matter of minutes. Both Amsterdam Centraal and Amsterdam Muiderpoort station are within a few minutes cycling distance.
The Oostelijk Havengebied is known for its water-rich surroundings and playful architecture.

You reach the second floor via the impressive central hall and the lift. The shared corridor has an intimate feel.
The apartment entrance is through the corridor with a storage cupboard and space for coats right as you walk in. This corridor then leads straight into the 1st bedroom / work room.
The stairs lead to the third floor, with the hallway providing access to all the rooms on the 3rd floor. The living room feels wonderfully spacious and light and, via a glass sliding door, you enter the conservatory/winter garden on the sunny west, which is currently used as a second sitting area. The kitchen is half open and equipped with a built-in electric hob, extractor hood, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. A glass wall enhances the light effect here. The royal master bedroom (formerly 2 bedrooms) is located at the front and the high windows lend a spacious feeling here as well. There is room for a large bed and plenty of closet space, but the room can also be easily returned to its original two-bedroom layout. The bathroom has a bath and a washbasin, washing machine connection and a separate toilet.
The windows in the conservatory can be opened almost completely so you can enjoy the sun even after work. The broad view includes the green courtyard with the water in the background.
Beautiful wooden floors have been installed on both floors and the walls are smoothly plastered.
The parking space is located in the underground parking garage, which is only accessible to owners of a parking space. The strategic location allows you to easily park your car. The parking space is included in the asking price.

The Owners Association is active and hosts an annual meeting, has a multi-year maintenance plan and House Bylaws apply. The service costs are € 164.13 per month for the house and € 25.15 per month for the parking gargage.

The apartment has a permanent leasehold right, owned by the Municipality of Amsterdam. The canon has been bought up to 1 March 2049 and the General Provisions of 1994 apply. This means that the long-term lease can be renewed or can be bought up in perpetuity.

The property is located in the Oostelijk Havengebied near the KNSM and Java island. From here, it’s a 5-minute bike ride to Javaplein, Dappermarkt, Artis and the shopping centre “Brazilië”. You will find many cosy cafés and restaurants within walking distance, as well as both cute and unique shops.
Within 10 minutes, you are at the Centraal Station and within 15 minutes at Waterlooplein. In addition, there are excellent connections with public transport (near several trams and buses), as well as by car (within 5 minutes via the Piet Hein tunnel on the A10 ring road).

MVA neighbourhood information: Oostelijk Havengebied

Sporenburg is an artificial island that was built during the 19th century. The area owes its name to the use of railroad territory by the Dutch railroads. Since the 1990s the area has been redeveloped into a residential area. The neighbourhood has some architectural eye-catchers such as - the red bridges and The Sphinx, a massive residential complex which had to attract families with children to the area.
