Location:
Bankastraat is a relatively quieter, hidden street in East with a pleasant atmosphere. This street runs parallel to and is around the corner from the popular Javastraat; this street has undergone a huge transformation in recent years that even a book has been written about; "the Javastraat, biography of a popular street". The street has a wide variety of shops and nice restaurants and is popular with many.
The Bankstraat is actually very central with respect to numerous facilities and facilities. In a radius of 500 meters you are further in the Plantagebuurt, in Artis or on the other side in the Oostelijk Havengebied on one of the terraces on the water. The now famous Brewery 't IJ is at your feet and in less than 5 minutes cycling you stand in the Oosterpark or in the Flevopark to keep your fitness on an arrow with running or swimming laps.

The building:
The building in which this house is located, was originally built in 1905 and has a characteristic late Renaissance building style. This is well reflected in the adorned windows, the ornamental wrought iron French balconies and the detailed roof overhang. Ten years ago, the building was largely renovated, including cleaning the façade and adding it again with new hardwood frames with double glazing. The houses have also been completely rebuilt and divided internally. In total the building consists of 4 houses; 1 double downstairs house with garden and 3 separate upstairs apartments that are accessible via a common staircase.

Description of the property:
The house that is offered is on the third floor and was completely renovated in 2008 to the current owner. A special feature of this house is not only the beautiful finish, but also that there is no building right in front of this building, so you have a nice view of a small playground with trees at the front. This makes the view nice, the house is also wonderfully light and gives all the house a more spacious feel.
Upon entering the home you first stand in a central corridor, which connects all the spaces. At the front is the L-shaped living room with three windows wide and in the middle a beautiful original French balcony. This small balcony faces south and, as mentioned earlier, looks out over a small square with trees. From early in the morning until four o'clock in the afternoon you can enjoy the sun on a chair. The open kitchen is located in the back of the living room. This open kitchen is compact but very efficient and fully equipped with a dishwasher, 5 burner stove with chimney, an oven, a refrigerator and a large sink with mixer tap. Thanks to the presence of a cooking peninsula, you can keep looking in the room during cooking.
This wonderfully light living room with a nice view offers space for a cozy sitting area and a large dining table.

At the rear of the apartment there are two bedrooms, both with access to the balcony behind. The largest (parent) bedroom also has a large built-in wardrobe with 4 compartments that remains. The second bedroom now offers space for a single bed and a chest of drawers. Of course, this room can also be used as an office, as a guest room or as a teenage room.

The bathroom is centrally located in the house and equipped with a spacious bath, a separate shower (you should possibly have a splash screen to place) and a sink. The toilet with fountain is situated in a separate toilet room. The finish of the sanitary rooms is very well maintained with large white and black / beige tiles.
Finally, the apartment has a separate closet with connection for your own washing machine and if desired your dryer.
The back balcony is 1.2 meters deeper than we are used to and therefore offers space for a cozy bistro set.

The finishes and installations:
The house has been completely renovated in 2008 while retaining various characteristic elements. Since then, the house is always very well maintained by the current owner. you will also find an apartment where you can move directly to:
The kitchen is divided into two parts and has access to built-in appliances from, among others, the Smeg brand. The version with white cabinets and a black composite worktop is beautiful and timeless.
The bathroom is also equipped with a timeless black / white combination.
